OMG, now I'm pissed!!

I just typed a friggin book, and apparently, this lovely website was under construction, so when I went to save it, it ended up in that big area known as cyberspace! I'm a tad pissed right now. (What a great first entry for my blog, huh?!)

I so cannot remember half of what I wrote. So I'm going to try to sum it all up: my husband was supposed to leave for "over there" on November 6th. Then yesterday it got changed to November 1. Then today it got changed to October 31st. I'm sick of being a military wife. I know I married into the military, without an M-16 pointed at my head; but it sucks, and I'm so ready for it to be over. I dream so many times of waking up in a "normal" life. Granted, we'd have to win the lottery in order for us to be able to make up for the lack of BAH and other things, but sometimes it just seems like it'd be nice to be "normal"

My girls are not dealing well with Daddy leaving. I know they're 10½ & 13½ (and yes, you *have* to add those "½" in there LOL), but this is a first for us. Yes, Dave has gone away for schooling for 4 months before, but he was in the United States, not some Godforsaken country.

And yes, you may be able to tell from this post that I'm not particularly for this war. But let me clarify that I am for the troops. As Toby Keith once said "you don't have to support the war or the president, but you need to support the troops" (or something along those lines!) I'm damn proud of my husband and all the other men & women out there fighting for our country. It saddens me that they're over there, and not home with their families, but I am behind the troops 150%.

Well, my nursing care plan calls, so I must end this rambling. Does anyone have any idea what a PITA it is to sit down and try to write a care plan for a fictitious patient, when you'd rather be sleeping?! ;o) Ah, the joys of nursing school!
